The 5 rules every Square game must pass
Every game gets checked by hand against these, in this order. Blockbros games too. Miss one and it doesn't get listed (yet).

Your own work
Make it yourself, or remix with credit and meaningful changes. A renamed sample or tutorial template (like GDevelop's Tappy Plane with a new name) is a fail, even if every file works.

Honest title, cover & blurb
They have to match the actual game. If it's called Space Llamas, we should see llamas, and the in-game menu can't still show the template's old name.

No broken leaderboards
A score submit that dumps players on a sample's leaderboard or a gd.games login banner fails. Set up your own board, or remove it.

Clean page: ZIP or no ads/trackers/comments
Best: send your HTML5 ZIP and we host it clean for free. Linking out instead? Turn off ads, trackers, and open comments on that page first.

Free showcase only
Free to list, free to play. No pay-to-enter. No tips, checkout, or donations through this site. Outbound links to your own page are fine; anything you sell, you handle there.
🧒 Safe for kids
No open chat with strangers in kids' games, no paid loot boxes or gambling-style prizes, no "play-to-earn" or investment hype. Give an honest self-rating.

You own or licensed the art, music, and characters. No copied games or borrowed characters you don't own.

📏 Limits
- Play links must be https:// (gd.games, itch.io, or your own site). Anything else is dropped.
- HTML5 ZIP: must contain
index.html, under ~250 MB unzipped, game files only (no server scripts or .exe). - Cover: 800×500 (16:10) PNG/JPG/WebP that you have the rights to. Blurb 1–2 lines, up to 4 tags.
- No public upload button on purpose: a person checks every ZIP before it touches our server.
- Nothing goes live until our site team gives a written pass.
❌ Common fails
- Renamed engine sample (e.g. a GDevelop tutorial game) with nothing original added.
- Name on the card doesn't match what's in the game.
- Score submit goes to the sample's leaderboard or a gd.games login banner.
- External page with ads, trackers, or open comments.
Fix: add something original and credit the sample, remove the leaderboard or make your own, and turn off page ads + comments (or send the ZIP so we host it).

💬 BlockChat safety · Ages 13+
- BlockChat is for ages 13 and up. It's open chat, DMs and voice with players you don't know. Under 13? Please skip BlockChat; every game on the shelf is still free to play.
- The house rules apply in every room, DM and voice hangout: no hate, no shame, play fair.
- Use a nickname. Never share your real name, age, school, address, phone number, or photos of yourself, in text or on voice.
- In BlockChat, DMs and voice are off until you turn them on, and DMs only reach people in a room with you. Only DM or voice with people you already know. Never move a chat to another app, never send pictures to someone you met here, and never agree to meet up.
- BlockChat's login is optional and only typed into BlockChat. We'll never ask for your password, payment, or personal info in a DM.
- See something wrong? Use Report, Mute or Block on the message, leave the room, and tell a trusted adult. Mods hide messages and mute people who break the rules.

- Pick a game on the game shelf or the Public Square and hit ▶ Play. No sign-up, no download, free.
- Some games play right here; others open the creator's own page (gd.games, itch.io, their site) in a new tab.
- Each game page has a short How to play box with the steps and controls.
- Tap ⌂ Title (top of every page) to come back to the home screen any time.
